Hi, Tweets,

If you're looking for Ancient Murrelet, this would be a good time to visit Discovery Park in Seattle and hike out to West Point with a scope. There aren't a lot, but if you put in the time, you'll see some pass, and maybe get to see some on the water briefly, as Curtis P. and I did this morning. There were also a couple Parasitic Jaegers, and probably the continuing Pomarine, now harassing Bonaparte's Gulls, which have replaced the Caspian Terns. It's like old times seeing so many Bonaparte's from the point today (like it was a decade or so ago). White-winged Scoters seem to have picked up a little again, too. I had one Turkey Vulture late morning, and early, over 100 Snow Geese overhead with 1-3 small enough I think they were Ross's. Harbor porpoise, seals and sea lions, and one close Steller's sea lion, too, blowing audibly like a whale.

Cheers,

Alan Grenon
