Kris Baker & I were down at the lighthouse area in Discovery Park
last evening looking for the Palm Warbler. Sky starting to darken and
to rain. We were on the asphalt trail that links the south beach to the
north beach. We had been looking for about an hour and were just
leaving. Tried a last desperate pishing and a flock of Yellow - rumped
Warblers popped out of brush on east side and landed in a willow
on the west side. One warbler had a neat rusty crown with a white eye
stripe and a black eye line throught it. All we could see was dark back
and a gray breast. No other markings, no yellow plumage, no twitching.
Minimal conditions.

But there is always something to see down by the beach - a couple of
big rabbits, a Harbor Seal, a family of 4 River Otters and a L-B Dowitcher,
Surf Scoters, and RB Mergansers. Good Luck
