> For a change of pace this afternoon we drove 11 miles up the Snoqualmie River Middle Fork Road hoping to see Varied Thrushes and some natural beauty. We were not disappointed. We saw 34 Varied Thrushes (11 separate encounters). There were probably many more that flew before we could positively identify them. In North Bend we saw a leucistic American Robin while we ate sandwiches that we took out from the North Bend Bakery. Here is the album of photos from the drive.
