Tweets,

A Snow Bunting stuck at Seattle's Montlake Fill yesterday long enough for me to be among those seeing it through sunset, feeding calmly on a mud island out in Lake Washington southeast of most of the Fill (scope required).

Earlier in the day, I'd been up at Windy Gap, which for logical persons will be this year's last hurrah. Snow stopped me, and I walked the last three miles. (John P.'s vehicle allowed him to drive up, but more snow is coming/has come.) Birds were few, with most of the raptors distant, as well. We did get a close look at a pygmy-owl and a quick peek at a shrike chasing siskins. Highway 410 is finally open east of Enumclaw, with a mile of one lane gravel detour and 10-15 minute waits at stop lights if you're not lucky.
