Subject: [Tweeters] Exceptionally fluffy Black-Capped Chickadee

I scatter a little seed on my deck pretty much each day, and we typically
have two to three Black-Capped Chickadees hanging around our yard going
after it. Yesterday afternoon, one of them was keeping its feathers
extremely fluffed out as it moved around the area, for at least a few
minutes until we lost sight of it. I'd never seen one holding itself like
that when foraging, that I can remember. I suppose maybe it was just
feeling the chill more than the others at that moment, but I was wondering
if this was an indication that it was unwell. My wife saw an Anna's
Hummingbird "take a swipe at" a couple of the chickadees, so that might
also have been a motivation.

I got a couple of cruddy phone-camera photos, but I doubt posting them
would add much to the story.
