Subject: [Tweeters] 3 White-throated Sparrows in yard

During a meal break, I saw that a third White-throated Sparrow has joined
the 5-10 Golden-crowned Sparrows in my backyard in West Seattle. All three
are tan-striped birds. Two fed side by side while another scratched three
meters away. A scrub-jay recently found our feeder and now comes to our
kitchen window to beg for peanuts. It's hard to say who is training who.
It won't take a peanut held in the hand yet but is close. It is more
aggressive and willing to risk our presence than the Steller's Jays which
won't come closer than a couple of meters.
