Hello everyone, I love this group and miss the PNW. I've been settling
into the eastern part of the continent the last few years, but have to do a
trip to Seattle to clear out my storage unit in the next couple weeks.
I plan to do a little birding, tick surfbird off my list finally, but what
I would kill for is a Northern Pygmy, Flamulated, or Spotted Owl tick. I
figure at least the Pygmy should give me a chance, I was wondering if
anyone had any specific insights, locations, or basic intel to share on the
subject in WA state? I remember hearing this is a good time for them,
somehow I never even got them as a rookie birder in Colorado
Oh, or any advice about chasing Mountain Quail, I would kill for just a bad
photo or rough look. Thanks in advance, you guys were all so great over a
year ago when I got help to cross Hermit Warbler and WH woodpecker off my
list the last time I was around with discretionary time.
Cheers,
Sam
