The warmer weather thawed the ice on Cannon Hill pond in Spokane and acorns are plentiful still. I counted 62 Wood Ducks this afternoon<x-apple-data-detectors://0>, in soft sunlight, along with a photogenic pair of Hooded Mergansers, several American Wigeons, and numerous Mallards so accustomed to people that one crawled onto my shoe and pulled my shoelaces.

Ample spots along the shore for photos.
