Hi, Tweets,
I found out the hard way yesterday morning that highway 410 is closed about five miles east of Enumclaw. Well, according to reports, I was there before the highway was closed, but I was still turned around. News reports kept repeating a different closure of 410 to the west of Enumclaw, and never mentioned this one, so be advised.
Now, there are a few reports on line, as:
"ENUMCLAW, Wash. - A closure for SR 410 east of Enumclaw will be in effect for several days starting Tuesday due to a wildfire spreading through the area.
SR 410 between mileposts 29 and 31, near Southeast Mud Mountain Road, is closed due to a wildfire burning near the highway, WSDOT says. At this time there are no available detours in the area. "

"Several days." And that last sentence is the kicker.
I did see a female Evening Grosbeak while I waited an hour to see whether the road would open, smoke seeming to have diminished.
Stay safe,
