Subject: [Tweeters] Butyl Creek: Reasonable migrant day in unreasonable smoke

Hi all,
Delia and I had an ok migrant/and resident day at Butyl Creek, 24 species took an actual bath: Including 3 Warblers, Swainson's T, Western Tanagers, Black-headed Grosbeak and Lincoln Sparrows. We wondered if the birds weren't even more inclined to take baths than normal because of this awful smoke.  When you have about 8 or ten visits by Yellow Warblers, how many individuals is it? Could be one.
Here are some pics:

Best wishes to everyone out in tweeterland and to the birds headed South,
Ed Newbold ( and Delia Scholes)
