Hi Tweeters,

Birding has picked up recently at Shillapoo Lake and the north end of
Vancouver Lake (accessed by the bridge trail from near the end of Erwin O
Reiger Memorial Highway which goes by Vancouver Lake State Park) recently
in southwest Clark County. Highlights from various birders have included:

Eared Grebe (Code 4) - second pond on Shillapoo Lake trail. September 17-18
Sanderling (Code 4) - north end of Vancouver Lake on September 15 and 16.
Black-necked Stilt (Code 4) - second pond on Shillapoo Lake trail.
September 17
Black-bellied Plover (Code 3) - second pond on Shillapoo Lake trail.
September 17-18 north end of Vancouver Lake on September 15
Semipalmated Plover (Code 3) - second pond on Shillapoo Lake trail.
September 18
Baird's Sandpiper (Code 3) - north end of Vancouver Lake. September 14 and
16.
Red-necked Phalarope (Code 3) - north end of Vancouver Lake. September 17.
Clay-colored Sparrow (code 5) - Last gate on Shillapoo Lake trail.
September 18 (found by Cindy McCormack)
