When I lived in Fremont (Seattle), I saw a Townsend's Chipmunk at the corner of 45th & Fremont on April 16, 2014. It was the only chipmunk I saw in the 25 years I lived at that location.

Subject: [Tweeters] Townsend's Chipmunk regular in Seattle?

A few days ago a Townsend's Chipmunk was in our Phinney Ridge Seattle yard, in front of our living room window. I can't recall ever seeing them in the city, except for perhaps Discovery Park. Any thoughts? Same day as a Hermit Thrush - so perhaps some exurban mojo was in the air.
