Our grandson, Evan Mahnke, recently sent us a text photo of a California
Scrub-Jay, as seen on September 13, at their house on the west shore of
Lake Tapps, near Sumner. This marked the first time he or his family had
seen this species at their feeders in the 16 years they have lived there.
