I think the continued closure of the KIWA Trail at Ridgefield NWR beyond the
usual May 1 opening has already been reported for potentially another
Sandhill Crane nesting attempt.



Earlier today Greg Johnson found Black-necked Stilts on the auto tour route
at Ridgefield NWR. They were still there around 5pm but flew into hiding
out of view when (what would you expect?) an eagle flew over.
