I have a small bat that was roosting above my shop door. I opened it yesterday afternoon and it fell to the ground I picked it up and constructed a makeshift roosting box.

There are some bats present in western Washington during the winter. The California Myotis and Silver-haired Bat are two of the species known to be present and both can be out foraging during the winter, during the warmer periods.

Seemed way too early to be seeing bats.
It was flying just above the treeline of a small mostly cedar tree park, Olympic View Park, which is just South of Bangor.
Don't we only have bats in the summer in West WA?
