Subject: [Tweeters] Saw a bat today

On January 13, 2019, which was a nice, sunny day, I was kayaking on the
"Headworks" section of the Green River and saw two bats at 1:30 in the
afternoon. They were circling right over the surface of the water, and I
also mistook them for swallows at first. People I asked about this said
that hibernating bats will occasionally awaken from torpor and go out to
seek water to drink.
