Yesterday (12/31/2020) around 4pm, we watched an American Dipper forage
around the mossy edges of the rectangular reflecting pond at the Bloedel
Reserve. It also made brief forays underwater, and a short flight to the
opposite side of the pond. First time we have observed a Dipper foraging
around a quiet pool, rather than along the edges of a fast moving stream. A
wonderful New Year's Eve surprise!
