In response to Blair's recent inquiry, I have also noted the lack of shorebirds, gulls & pelicans in Grays Harbor. I posed the question to my husband, an environmental scientist, & he immediately considered that the heat dome may have killed many invertebrates, the food source for the birds. Just a thought.
