I suggest looking at nest box sites on pilings just east of Harbor lights
Restaurant in Ruston Way in Tacoma, and also on pilings at the old ferry
dock at Titlow Park. You may see some starlings invading the colonies, and
also house sparrows.

The Martins are very crepuscular and are often far away during the daytime
foraging, until there are eggs being incubated or there are nestlings to be
fed. So going very early in the morning can be rewarding, as can be
twilight excursions.
