Goshawk doubles females circling over and over again at Saint Mary's Church
Anacortes. At about 500 feet altitude. I will suggest that these hawks are
resident breeding NG or the product of a breeding pair. The sighting was
naked eye. I observed for about 10 minutes as the hawks glided to another
are of the sky. Then one of the female flew away toward the Anacortes
Forest. Then the remaining female stooped at about a 45 degree angle into
evergreen trees. As she shot out of the trees a male NG followed her up to
about 500 feet elevation. I observe male and female together for about 10
minutes. I departed the area with male and female circling. At about 1 pm.
