I was in Everett on 43rd and Colby, above the cemetery and saw 25-30 hawks of some kind, soaring on the thermals and slowly making their way south. I admit to not knowing much about these species' migration habits compared to other birds and I've never seen so many flying together so I am curious. What might they have been and were they likely migrating? I didn't see red heads so I don't think they were turkey vultures.
