Hey tweets,
Just spotted a young RED-SHOULDERED HAWK deep inside Sidle's Swamp at the
Montlake Fill. The bird was first heard calling before I spotted it briefly
flying up to perch in a distant cottonwood. The bird was viewed looking
east from here: (47.6555142, -122.2908951). While getting the word out, it
disappeared from it's perch and has not since been detected (though it's
only been 10 minutes or so) - I have a feeling it hasn't strayed far
though!
Good birding, Alex Sowers
