Subject: [Tweeters] Black Vultures? Deception Pass State Park

Sorry folks for not posting yesterday. I went hiking with my daughter and her friend in Deception Pass state park. We were on the trail between Bowman Bay campground and the Rosario Beach area, overlooking Bowman Bay, when a vulture landed in a tree nearby. We assumed Turkey, although my daughter pointed out that "They usually only have red heads". It flew toward the campground - and then another landed a little more close and it was clear the head was grey. I have not seen TVs so close in the wild and was enjoying this - but this one also flew before any of us got a camera on it. And we did not see them again.

My thought is that perhaps the storm blew them our way? Has anyone else seen them?

Thank you,
