Great day at Deer Lagoon after the wind dropped some. Highlights:
- 12 greater white-fronted geese (we've never seen them there before) in
grass on the freshwater side near the end of the raised trail as it
approaches the Sound
- FOY caspian tern. All by itself on a tideflat with 100+ short billed/mew
gulls
- well over 500 brant on tidefalts across the mouth of Deer Lagoon as it
empties into Useless Bay
- Savannah sparrows are back with bright yellow highlights
