How exciting, Vicki! Your post prompted me to check back in my records, and the earliest Rufous sighting I've noted was March 3 in 2020. Last year my first was March 28. I'd forgotten just how early they can get here, and will now make sure I'm well prepared with optics and attention to spot the 2022FOY.
