I stepped out my back door this morning and immediately heard Yellow
Warbler, Wilson's Warbler, and Warbling Vireo. Within seconds, two Western
Tanagers (calling "wheep") flew over.

I went inside and checked the BirdCast (https://birdcast.info/) estimate
from last night. Yep. At least for Jefferson County (and probably for all
western WA), it recorded the largest migration push of the year last night
-- by far, about 10x more than a typical night this May.

I had a Swainson's Hawk over town last night. Birds are moving!

good birding,
