Where West St goes down the hill and across Squalicum Creek in the Columbia
District of Bellingham, the woods were full of western tanagers. An
excited cyclist flying down the hill on his bike claimed there was a flock.
How he managed that is hard to say, but I counted six. A big day for
tanagers.
