As a new, older birder, I was truly saddened to hear of Ed's sudden & untimely death. I remember journeying to Vashon Island several years ago for a field trip & I still remember his enthusiasm & the joy he embraced. It wasn't about numbers or ticks, it was all about the birds♥️
