A close friend just returned from a four day stay on Lopez Island where
he saw large numbers of Double Crested Cormorants. We have been
wondering where all of the usual hangers-about cormorants have gone this
season, gone from Port Townsend where they have usually been lining up
and fishing near Point Hudson. I suspect that it was a relocation of
food sources that effected their move...
