My friend and I also used some dash board info to confirm a few species sightings around Moses Lake, Othello and the Columbia before we drove over on Friday. Lower Crab Creek Rd. was really exciting not least for the stubborn cow mamas with calves…. The big crows rule over there, even over the ravens. Late Friday it was fun seeing thousands (at least one thousand) of Sandhill Cranes at dusk in the Potholes and before that many hundreds of Snow Geese in many places, plus some of my favorites species such as a half-dozen American Kestrels and one lonely Shrike. One miss was Golden eagle, and alas, we did not have time to visit the Ephrata area to look for those Burrowing Owls. The windy days were worth it even if we did hit hail and snowstorms around the pass on the way back. Thank you for your postings. I have always enjoyed your photos and videos. A highlight on Friday morning for us was a flock of Bighorn Sheep  well before we reached the Columbia river. Coming back? Hail, hail, sleet, sweet hail.
