The juvenile is still frequenting our house. This morning it swooped down and snatched a Dark-eyed junco off of the deck right behind my wife. She heard (thankfully, did not see) the junco squeak loudly, she turned around and saw the hawk flying off. The only evidence the junco was there was seven flight feathers..
I am still amazed the size difference between this hawk and its prey.
