While a Great Egret may not be much of a find in some parts of the state it's a great county bird here in Lewis County. We've had one hanging out for the last 4 or 5 days. It's been hanging out along the ponds and creek near Green Hill School. I've seen it 4 of the last 5 days.

The last time I saw ine in the county was over 10 years ago. It's only the 3rd one I've seen in the county in 40 years.
