Yes, there is a small resident flock at Reifel (Migratory Bird Refuge,
Westham Island, Delta, BC), supplemented from time to time by migrants.
They manage to breed most years.
I have images showing the blood vessels in the nictitating membrane of
their eyes.
That is, before they got too close...
