Here is the June 2023 turkey vulture report for Washington. My thanks to Carol Ridell for her extra sightings, it's been a difficult month here.




JUNE


01 -- One turkey vulture at Riverview Wildlife Refuge, SnohomishWastewater Treatment Plant.


02 -- One at the Big Four Ice Caves, Mt. Baker National Forest.


07 -- Three at Bullfrog Pond, Kittitas County; three at Robinson Canyon Road, Okanogan County.


15 -- One turkey vulture at JBLM Eagle's Pride Golf Course on a sunny, warm day.


21 -- One at Red Mountain Campground, Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest; two at Cle Elum Lake, Kittitas County.


23 -- One at Plott Road Ponds, Kittittas County.


25 -- One at Bullfrog Pond, Kittitas County; one at Marblemount Boat Launch, Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest; one at Cape Sante Marina, Anacortes.


27 -- One at I-90 at Cle Elum.


28 -- Two adult turkey vultures flying directly south over Anderson Lake State Park at 15:15; clear skies with light wind from the south.



30 -- Two turkey vultures at Stillwater, King County, first singly then later together, possible pair; one turkey vulture in the early evening in the vicinity of River Meadows County Park near Arlington.
