Yesterday spotted a juvenile Cooper’s Hawk in a tree next to the house and wondered how far away the nest was located. 30 minutes later, my wife noticed Band-tailed pigeon feathers on the lawn near the house.
This morning I heard a hawk “squeaky whistle” call. Picked it up on Merlin and validated it as it flew by along the road.
