Hurricane Ridge would offer the shortest (possibly zero) walk to montane
and subalpine zones, where Canada Jays hang out. Note that the Hurricane
Ridge lodge recently burned down, resulting in metering vehicles and
closing gates when the parking lots fill up. Check out the ONP website for
