Walking the dog along the east side of North Seattle College this late afternoon, along the upslope south of the long retaining pond, I distinctly heard the song of a Black-Throated Gray Warbler: that "zeedle zeedle zeedle zeet-se" is unmistakable. But over the highway noise, and with the dog, and without my binocs, I had no chance to locate it. Is this super early? Or maybe a starling pretending to be a BTGW?
