I made a run up to the Skagit/Samish flats today, my first for the season.
In general it seemed quiet. Highlights included:

A distant large flock of Snow Geese and swans at the intersection of La
Conner/Whitney Road and Rt. 20
A single Short-eared Owl at the Rawlin Road Dike walk
A female Rough-legged Hawk at the East 90

As I was headed home, I stumbled upon a massive Snow Goose flock off of
Brewster Road, just east of The Rex deli. I have no idea how to count the
number of birds, but it was in the thousands.
