I must apologize for posting a ‘call to action’ without having fully researched the


issue. I’d read the information on the TexBirds list in the ABA Birding News listservs.

I just went onto the Federal Register, which I should have done in the first place, and could find no ‘new’ information on the proposal to condemn the Valley Land Trust property or to extend the failed border wall in Starr County. The most recent info I could find was the extension of the original ‘comment period’ to 2020.





I’d sent a quick note to the CBP address listed in the newspaper article, and received a reply that my ‘… comments have been received.’ For what it’s worth.





I contacted Ms. Miller to request a link to an ‘official’ Dept Homeland Security proposal, Federal Docket number, or request for comments on the issue. I’ll provide information as I can get it. And again, I apologize for going off half-cocked,
