We had a breeding pair of Merlins in Twin Lakes, Federal Way for several
years now. It seems that they successfully raised at least two young this
year. This evening (8/4) we observed three of them actively hunting
dragonflies over Lake Lorene. One of them landed in an alder tree right
above our bench to snack on a large dragonfly. Also present was a single
Osprey and this morning we had two of them.
