This is my last day at Canopy Lodge in Panama and I’m so sad to be leaving. The guides are excellent, birds are plentiful, the lodging very comfortable, and the food was quite good. I wish I had booked two weeks and had spent time at Canopy Tower. It’s the dry season now and I didn’t use my raincoat at all. Daytime temps got up to the mid 80’s and nighttime temps were in the upper 60’s to low 70’s. I wore capris and shorts and short sleeved shirts (all treated by Insect Shield with permitherin) and picaridin on exposed skin and got nary a bite. I’m already plotting my return.
