I witnessed the most incredible amount of shearwaters flying by Klipsan
beach at about 5 - 5:30 this evening. They streamed by continuously for at
least half an hour. I estimate in the 10's of thousands. Not very far out,
just beyond the waves breaking. They seemed long on the wing and sleek.
Probably Sooty. Anybody else experience this? Any thoughts?
