Hi, Tweets (and Dennis)

I want to thank Dennis for stating firmly that Barred Owls (and certain other birds) are not invasive for this area at all; they moved here gradually on their own. They are a North American species.

We have barred owls here in Bothell also and they have been an interesting species to have in the yard; the young are delightful. I will say that we used to have screech owls many years ago but whether they are gone because of the larger owls or some other reason, I don't know.
