Bonaparte's Gull, still in first winter plumage, on Lake Washington north of
the Renton Boathouse, between 1 pm and 4:30 pm Friday June 7. Small gull,
dark spot behind eye, some smudging above and below spot and on cap, black
bill, popped up briefly and showed pink legs. Solitary. First spotted from
Lakeshore Retirement Community at 1 pm, but I could not get over to the
boathouse to get a closer look until after 3:30 pm.
