I am responding to “tweeters” and if you’re not interested, I am sorry please ignore . For those who are interesting you might find the following hopeful.
Very valid question, especially for nature photographers who wish to sort and organize photographs for research, as well as sharing and personal pleasure.
I have been using the Adobe CC suite for sometime and have been using Lightroom Classic (LRC) since Lightroom (LR) 2.
Organization of the images is quite flexible. For example, you can create different catalogs or use a folder/file hierarchy.

The beauty of this type of organizing within LRC allows you to refer back to locate images by locations, image names, dates, etc., all through the end built-in med data process.

I have sent images of unique bird behaviors to Cornell University, as well as tracking information of banded birds and shared information regarding branded sea mammals.

Do some research regarding the versions of Lightroom.

And of course, check out some YouTube videos to help unrelated LR and LRC differences and applications.
