Hi Tweeters community,

I was walking around Discovery Park at dusk and heard a large owl by the
edge of Capehart Forest. It made a single hoot followed by a 15-30s pause.
This continued for about 5-10 minutes. I can't find any audio that matches
the call that I heard. My gut feeling is that it's a Barred Owl, but Merlin
seemed to think it was a Long-eared owl. This would be pretty rare for the
park/county, so I wanted to see if anyone had any thoughts on it. This is
my first time posting to Tweeters and I just learned I can't post audio
