I've been wishing for snow all winter - I know, I don't have to commute in it - but I like wintry snow. And, the first new bird of the season, for me, was a handsome Townsend's warbler. Just after our local male varied thrush was trying to push the snow off the tray feeder (which I did) - both such lovely birds against the snow.
