Seattle’s own Big Year Coffee will be highlighting their best Bird Friendly certified coffees at the Seattle Coffee Fest next weekend, October 25th at the Magnuson Hanger.

Stop by to try their fruity natural Mexican and Ethiopian selections or if dark roast is your thing their Guatemala and Nicaragua single origin. It’s all roasted in Seattle by a former UW avian researcher. If you’ve never heard of bird friendly certified, it means the coffee is free from deforestation that typical coffee perpetuates. Shade grown coffee is grown under a diverse canopy of trees with minimum of 11 native tree species at least 40 feet tall. Also the certification from the Smithsonian supports avian research on coffee farms.

Hope to see you all there,
