If you want to be contacted directly regarding tripods, you need to include your email address in your post. Tweeters has not automatically included a poster’s email address for at least a year.

Kenmore Camera is probably the best local business for scope and head selection as well as staff who can help you make the right selection for your scope.

By the way, birding equipment is not off topic for Tweeters. Good luck with finding the tripod and head you need.

Hello birders,

I am in the market for a new lighter weight scope tripod that is stable for my 2lb Kowa TSN 820 scope. Tried Sirui 1204 but the VA5 head It comes with is too flimsy and unsteady even with added weight. The head alone is just shakes. Previous scope was a rock solid manfrotto aluminum 'Mac truck' but quite heavy. Tried Glazers ... No luck.

Hoping to find some under 5-6 lbs with scope and video head ideally.Any suggestions appreciated.

Looking for recommendations. Please email directly if you can.

Thanks in advance!
